Heavy bus accident in Nepal, 14 people Died, 19 injured

A horrific road accident took place in Nepal today (Sunday). In which 14 people died while 19 people were injured. This accident happened near Sindhupal Chowk when a bus overturned uncontrollably. It is being told that there were 40 passengers in the bus. In the accident, 14 people died on the spot, while 19 people were injured, who have been admitted to the local hospital. Relief and rescue operations started immediately after the accident.
Ganesh Khanal, spokesperson of the district police office Sindhupalchowk told the news agency Xinhua that 12 passengers died on the spot, while two others died in the hospital.
According to the police, the bus overturned on another road a few hundred meters down the road near Sunkosi Rural Municipality. The bus was going to Kathmandu from Kalin Chowk of Dakhla, a famous religious and tourist destination.
Khanal said, “We estimate that there were at least 32 people on the bus. The driver of the bus escaped after the accident, while his assistant was seriously injured.” Police said that they are investigating the reason behind the accident.
Road accidents have occurred in Nepal in recent years due to crowded vehicles, bad roads, poor condition of public vehicles.
