Amidst Rising Cases in Omicron Night Curfew Imposed in Gujarat

Omicron cases

Omnicron cases have been rising in many countries. The cases have increased to 161 countries across the country. On Monday in Gujarat night curfew is imposed in eight major cities of the state till 31st December due to rising cases of Omnicron.

Till 31st December the night curfew is imposed in Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodra, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, Gandhinagar, and Junagadh. The night curfew timings will be from 1 pm to 5 am. Four new cases of the Omnicron variant are found in Gujarat on Sunday and many people are getting infected with the Omnicron variant in the state.

In view of the increasing cases of the Omicron variant, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has asked people to avoid going to parties on Christmas and New Year. Maharastra has reported the highest number of omicron cases.

To avoid the spread over  Omicron in the country, there is a steady decline in active cases of corona infection. More than 16 hundred active cases have decreased in the last one day and at present, their number has come down to 82,267, which is the lowest in 572 days and 0.24 percent of the total cases.

According to the Union Health Ministry on Monday, during the last 24 hours, six and a half thousand new patients have been found and 132 people have lost their lives.
