Winter Lashes and Rise in Omicron Cases, Delhiites Must Get Ready to Follow the New Rules

As seeing the new Omicron cases and in order to curb the cases of omicron and coronavirus infection the Delhi capital ruling government Aam Adami Party has laid down certain restrictions on Tuesday.

The members and experts discussed in the meeting to rule out the spread of the omicron virus. An important meeting has been called on Wednesday by Disaster Management in which senior officials including Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and CM Arvind Kejriwal will be involved.

Certain restrictions have been imposed in Delhi NCR in the cities of Delhi-NCR against coronavirus infection and the new variant Omicron of corona and exemptions will continue.

Public Transport Running with 50 percent capacity

After the resurgence of covid cases, the government decided to run the public transport with 50 percent capacity. Since Wednesday morning the Delhi Metro is gaining speed with 50 percent seating capacity.

The rule also applied to buses. The buses will hold only half the percentage of seating capacity to reduce the risk of infection among the people.

Check What is open and what is closed in Delhi

  • There will be a night curfew in Delhi from 10 pm to 5 am, but after that, there will be an exemption from restrictions during the day.
  • Shops related to non-essential services will open daily from 10 am to 8 pm under the odd-even in shopping complexes and malls in Delhi.
  • Restaurants will open with 50 percent seating capacity. There will also be restrictions on opening and closing.
  • Bars will also open with 50 percent seating capacity, but the rule will have to be followed from 12 noon to 10 pm.
  • Cinema halls will be closed.
  • The closure of multiplexes has also been announced.
  • The banquet hall and auditorium will also be closed.
  • Hotels will remain open, but it has been announced to close the banquet hall and conference hall inside the hotel.
  • Salons and beauty parlors will open.
  • Spas, gyms, yoga institutes, and entertainment parks will be closed.
  • Schools, colleges, and educational institutions along with coaching institutes will also be closed.
  • Sports complexes will be closed.
  • Stadiums and swimming pools will also remain closed.
  • Private offices will be allowed to open from 9 am to 5 pm with 50 percent capacity.

Yellow Alert came into force and begin new restrictions

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a yellow alert in Delhi. He told that Delhi had a 0.5 percent positivity rate during the last few days. Due to this, Level-1 of the Graded Response Action Plan i.e. Yellow Alert is being implemented in Delhi. With the increase in air pollution and rapid increase in cases of the corona the Delhi government, in this situation declared winter holidays for children from nursery to class 5.

Masks are Mandatory to wear, otherwise, you will have to pay a Rs 2000 penalty

The government appealed to the people to wear masks. Explain that there is a provision of challan of Rs 2000 in Delhi for not wearing a mask.

To reduce the infection the night curfew imposed by the government will be continued.
