New Delhi The third month of the monsoon season is going to end. Starting from 1 June, the season lasts till 30 September. August was very good in terms of rain. In this, the record of rain in the country for the last 44 years was broken. However, till now the pace of drop of drops has been uneven in various states. Gujarat received the highest rainfall between June 1 and August 30, 61 percent above normal. Himachal Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have recorded less than normal rainfall so far.

This monsoon season received 17 percent more rain than normal in June, while in July this figure was 10 percent less. In August, it received 28.4 percent more rainfall than normal.
