The Story of Multiple Attempts to Assassinate Mahatma Gandhi

Read Time:2 Minute, 42 Second

Mahatma-Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi’s life was like an open book. Many things used to be done in it and many things were kept in the eyes of the people.

Therefore, it was not possible to do any work secretly or to do any work of Gandhi Ji by himself, without informing anyone.

According to Gandhiji’s policy, it was absolutely right. There were six fatal assaults on him. The first attack took place in 1934 in Pune.

When he was to go to a function, two vehicles arrived, almost identical in appearance. One had organizers and the other had Kasturba and Mahatma Gandhi to travel.

The organizer, who had come to pick up, his car got out and there was a railway gate in the middle. Mahatma Gandhi’s car stopped there.

Just then a blast occurred, the car that went ahead flew away. Mahatma Gandhi survived that attack because the train was delayed. It is a matter of the year 1934.

Attack in Panchgani and Mumbai

After his release from Aga Khan Palace in the year 1944, Gandhi stayed at Panchgani, where some people were protesting against him.

Gandhi tried to talk to them, explain to them, understand their displeasure as to why they were angry.

But none of them was willing to talk and in the end, a man ran away with a knife, he was caught.

It was only in 1944 that Panchgani, Gandhi, and Jinnah’s talks were to be held in Bombay.

And some people like the Muslim League and Hindu Mahasabha were annoyed that Gandhi and Jinnah had no meaning and should not meet.

There too, an attempt was made to attack Gandhi, he also failed.

Tried twice in Champaran

In 1946, the tracks of the train with which Gandhi was traveling near Nerul were uprooted and the train overturned, the engine crashed somewhere.

It is clear that in the year 1948, there were two attacks. For the first time when Madanlal wanted to explode the bomb, he did not explode and people were caught.

The story of the sixth time is that Nathuram Godse opened fire on January 30, 1948, and Mahatma Gandhi lost his life. Two more attempts were made to kill Gandhi.

Both those efforts are very interesting, both of them took place in Champaran. In the year 1917, Mahatma Gandhi was in Motihari.

Irwin, the manager of the largest indigo mill in Motihari, called Gandhi for talks. Irwin was the leader of the managers of all Neel factories in Motihari.

What would be the history of the country?

He stood with a tray, Gandhi saw him with his head raised, and the ducks started crying and the whole thing opened up. This story is nowhere in the biography of Mahatma Gandhi.

The story which is considered to be the most authentic of Champaran is not in the book of Babu Rajendra Prasad, it is not mentioned in any other quotation.

But in public memory Duck, Mian Ansari is a very famous man.

There was no name of duck mian left, they were imprisoned, their lands were auctioned.

In 1957, Rajendra Prasad was the President, he had to go to Narkatiaganj via Motihari.
