A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) is to be heard in the Supreme Court today, May 28, 2021, regarding the pending board exams of Class 12 of the Central Boards. This PAIL filed in the Supreme Court by Advocate Mamta Sharma demanded that the board examinations of the Senior Secondary (Class 12) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the ISC (Class 12) of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). Be canceled. For the purpose of protecting the infection of the second wave of the Kovid-19 epidemic spread across the country, the 12th class examinations of CBSE and CISCE have been postponed for the time being.

Demand to declare 12th result on the basis of ‘objective methodology’

Public interest litigation filed for cancellation of CBSE and CISCE’s 12th board examinations demanded that Class 12 students of both boards within the specified time frame based on ‘objective methodology’ without giving the results. Be declared. Also, through the petition, both the boards have been requested to order in this regard from the apex court.

The petition said, “In view of the increase in the number of cases of Covid-19 across the country, it is not possible to conduct the class 12 board examinations. Even online exams are not appropriate given the anticipated epidemic. At the same time, the future of students seeking admission to foreign universities will be bad due to the delay in class 12 results. ”

Also, according to the petition, “Both CBSE and CISCE must declare the results from objective methodology within the stipulated time frame, otherwise around 1.2 million students will be affected.”
