State Bank of India (SBI) offers customers green PIN facility, which is an easy and convenient way to create debit card PIN through various channels like ATM, Internet banking, IVR and SMS. The real reason for the green pin is that it will benefit both customers and employees. A good initiative towards paperless banking.

Green PINs do not require employees to carry ATM PINs. The Green Pin facility has been in service for the last four years. SBI recently posted a 40-second video detailing how to generate a green pin. The bank tweeted along with the video, ‘There are easy steps to generate your debit card PIN or Green PIN through our toll-free IVR system. Customers can call 1800 112 211 or 1800 425 3800. ‘
