Republic Day 2021: Joint CP (Traffic) Manish Aggarwal informed that the Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhavan metro station will be closed for boarding and deboarding from 5 am to 12 noon in view of the full dress rehearsal on January 23.

New Delhi: Traffic advisory has been issued by Delhi Police regarding the parade on Republic Day and full dress rehearsal on 23 January. Although the route of the parade has been shortened due to the Coronavirus epidemic this year, strict security arrangements have been made. During this, many metro stations will remain closed and traffic will also be diverted on many routes.

The parade will end at the National Stadium Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Manish Aggarwal said, ‘In view of the corona virus epidemic, the route of the Republic Day Parade has been shortened. The 26th parade will end at the National Stadium and the tableau will go to the Red Fort. Along with this, he said that it is our duty to make the Republic Day parade without any disturbance and we are committed to it.

Manish Aggarwal said, ‘Due to the epidemic this year, the number of people invited to Republic Day Parade has also been reduced considerably and chairs for seating have been kept far away. Apart from this, all the people coming will be required to wear masks and entry will not be given without temperature check. He told, ‘The most important thing is that this time the entry is only through invitation or ticket, whose invitation is being given only by the Ministry of Defense.

My appeal to the people is that whenever you leave the house on the morning of 23 January, keep the traffic advisory in view. Apart from this, Netaji Subhash Marg will also be closed from 4 am on 26 January.

He told, ‘Common people will not be allowed to visit Vijay Chowk, Rafi Marg, Man Singh Road from 11 pm on January 22 for full dress rehearsal. Avoid coming on these paths on 23 January morning. Only vehicles with parking level and permissions will be able to walk on these routes. SP Mukherjee Marg to go to Old Delhi Rail Station and LNJP Route to New Delhi Station can be taken.
