Indian shares rise ahead of PM Modi’s swearing-in ceremony, May F&O expiry

new Delhi. Before the PM Modi’s swearing-in ceremony, the country’s stock market opened on Thursday with a green mark. According to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the major index Sensex rose 78 points to 39,580.28, while the Nifty rose 4 points to open at 11,865.30.
BSE SGVN 2 per cent, Rajesh Exports Ltd 43.35 per cent, Bharat Electronics Limited 5 per cent, AdaniPower 1.65 per cent, Ashoka 5 per cent, Phoenix Mills Ltd 16.80 per cent, Reppco Home Finance 11.10 per cent. In the NSE, Infratel was up 2.51 percent, Sun Pharma 2.25 percent, Gail 2.22 percent, Tata Consultancy Services 1.95 percent, HCL Technologies 1.28 percent, and Top Gainers.
These are top losers
The BSE benchmark Sensex 6.30 per cent, New India Ventures 6.70 per cent, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals 19.35 per cent, Lakshmi Machine Work 137.15 per cent, Inox Wind 1.40 per cent. In the NSE, JSW Group was 4.44 per cent, State Bank of India 3.29 per cent, Tata Steel 2.86 per cent, Sipala 2.80 per cent, Zee Entertainment Enterprises 2.61 per cent with top losers.
