Read Time:2 Minute, 1 Second

National Pollution Prevention Day i.e. National Pollution Control Day is observed every year on 2 December. Its main objective is to spread awareness among people to protect the air from water, soil and environment from being polluted and to control pollution. But this National Pollution Control Day has a special connection with the Bhopal gas tragedy. It is celebrated in memory of the people who lost their lives in this tragedy.

Air pollution has become a major problem today. The air quality of the entire Delhi-NCR has deteriorated. There are many elements responsible for the pollution, ranging from bomb blasts to burning firecrackers, burning stubble, vehicles running on roads and gas and smoke leaking from factories and factories etc. The situation is taking a formidable day by day, so it is imperative that steps are taken to prevent pollution.

First of all, try to control pollution. For this:
1-
Make people aware. They should be told to use good quality masks. Do not burn garbage, crop residues, polythene and other plastic waste in the open.
2- Do not use coal at all. It produces more than 40 percent carbon and fly ash.
3- Repair vehicles from time to time. Use good quality diesel and petrol.
4- Get the vehicles checked as well. Do not keep the chimney height below 20 meters in the factories.

Ways to avoid
pollution Apart from controlling this deadly pollution, prevention is also very important. For this:

1- Put masks not only outside but also inside the house because the poisonous elements dissolved in the air enter the lungs and other parts of the body through breath and stick there. This can cause respiratory problems.

2- By breathing in polluted air, toxic substances are mixed in the blood inside the body, which can cause blood-related diseases as well as heart-related diseases.

3- Due to pollution, most dust particles accumulate in the throat. This causes throat problems. In this case, use jaggery after eating every day. In addition, liquorice can also be chewed.

4- Do not go out for morning and evening walk in pollution and exercise should also be done at home.

5- Never go on an empty stomach morning walk, eat something. Also, go for a walk in the park in the morning only when the dew is there. Dew dissipates a layer of pollution.
