General Bipin Rawat, India’s Highest Ranking Military Officer died in a Helicopter plane crash on Wednesday along with his wife Madhulika and 11 other armed forces.

General Bipin Rawat was an outstanding soldier and a true patriot who generally contributed to armed forces and security apparatus”.The chief officer died in a chopper crash in Tamil Nadu. The chief officer was a few miles away to arrive at the Defense Services Staff College in Wellington in Coonoor when the IAF Mi-17V5 helicopter in which he was traveling crashed in the forested area.

The country is in deep sorrow over the death of General Bipin Rawat. The president, Prime Minister, Home Minister, and Defense Minister as well as top politicians and former military officers of the country have expressed deep grief.

Last Rites will be held on Friday

The Last Rites of General Bipin Rawat will be held in Delhi Cantonment on Friday. The body of immortal personality is expected to reach the national capital by a military plane by tomorrow evening. The body will be reached to Delhi on Friday and people are allowed to pay homage from 11 am to 2 pm, followed by a funeral procession from Kamaraj Marg to Berar Square crematorium in Delhi Cantonment.
