Facebook removed 70 million fake posts related to coronavirus

Facebook Inc reported on Tuesday that it had removed 7 million fake posts related to the corona infection in the second quarter. They also include posts related to unreliable measures shared to avoid corona infection.

Facebook has released figures under the Sixth Community Standards Information Report. The report was launched in the year 2018. The company said it would also invite outside experts to audit the data included in the report from next year.

The social media company has removed 2.25 crore speeches by its app spreading hatred in the second quarter. During this period, the company has removed 87 lakh posts of extremist organizations, while 63 lakh posts were removed in the last quarter. The company said that during the second quarter from April to June, it took more technology support to review the post.
