Coronavirus in US: a dog found corona positive in Georgia, owners were already infected

Atlanta, AP. A dog has been found infected with the Corona virus (COVID-19) in Georgia, USA. It is believed that this is the second dog in the US prone to corona infection. The Georgia Department of Health said in a news release Wednesday that the corona test report of a 6-year-old mixed-breed dog came back positive. Earlier its owner was found infected. The dog was diagnosed with neurological disease.
The dog was killed after the neurological disease progressed. Officials said the dog’s neurological disease has no relation to the corona virus. According to the guidelines issued by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, based on the limited information available so far, the risk of spreading corona virus from pets to people is very low.
