3 brothers in Bhopal died after drinking 3 litres of sanitizer

In a bizarre episode, three brothers at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh expired after swallowing 3 litres of sanitisers in lack of alcohol. Reports indicate that the 3 guys were hooked on alcohol and adhering to the lockdown they could not have their palms on spirits, hence strove to swallow bottles of sanitisers to satiate their desire. The unlucky incident was reported on Tuesday following their bodies had been recovered.

While Prasad was a painter as well as also a resident of Ravidas Colony Jehangirbad, another two were labourers who’d often sleep on the footpaths of both MP Nagar.

He explained that the trio purchased the sanitiser jar Sunday and swallowed a good deal of it. Then while Prasad went home for the night, another two slept on the footpath. Despite feeling uncomfortable, they consumed the sanitiser on Monday. Late at night, the Prasad was discovered unconscious in his area whilst on Tuesday the bodies of both were recovered in the road. Together with the bodies, two litres of this sanitiser was discovered in the place and the remainder was presumed to have been absorbed by the dead person.

The trio was hurried to the JP Hospital in which they were declared dead on arrival. A probe was enrolled for additional investigation.

During the lockdown, multiple deaths have been reported of individuals dying after swallowing alcohol.

In a similar episode, at least ten alcohol enthusiasts, for example three beggars, died after allegedly consuming sanitiser as an alternate to liquor at a village beneath COVID-19 lockdown at Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh this past year. The episode occurred in Kurichedu city. Since the spirits stores in the city and neighbouring villages were shut for days because of lockdown, they have sanitiser used for hand hygiene.
