99.8 percent marks secured in JEE by putting the other in the examination Candidate, five arrested including doctor father

IIT JEE entrance exam in Assam has exposed a large number of frauds. On Wednesday, the police arrested the candidate who took the exam in his place in IIT. He got 99.8 percent marks in this examination. In this case, the police has also arrested his doctor father and three other people. The accused will be produced in local court on Thursday. Police said that a person named Mitradev Sharma had filed a report on 23 October in this case. The complaint was based on viral phone call recordings and WhatsApp chat screenshots.

He told in his complaint that in the JEE-Mains examination held on September 5, one candidate had put his place in the other. This gave him 99.8 percent marks. On this complaint, the police formed an investigation team which arrested five people. The arrested candidate had shared the information about setting up another in JEE on the phone with a friend. Police has also acquired this call recording.

According to the complainant, on the day of examination, the candidate went inside the examination center by applying biometric attendance and came out with the help of the room inspector. Then someone else took the exam instead. The candidate went inside and filled his name and roll number on the answer book. It is alleged that a coaching institute in Guwahati is also complicit in this matter. The police have not provided any information about the relationship between the complainant and the friend of the candidate. Police has also approached the National Testing Agency, the testing agency in this case. Police said that the examination center has been sealed and management has been summoned.

Guwahati Police Commissioner MP Gupta said that an FIR (FIR) was lodged in the Azra Police in Assam against the topper of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains in Assam for using a proxy (representative) to sit for the exam. has gone. We have investigated the case and found out that a representative was used by the candidate with the help of another agency. He said that the employees of the examination center in Guwahati were also involved in the fraud. Others involved in the crime are being searched. This may not be a case, but may be part of a larger scam… We are looking at all aspects.
