12th Result CBSE gave the answer to every question that students want to know

However, the Vice-Chancellor of Delhi University, in an interview given to news agency ANI, has talked about the admission process on the basis of 12th results. Also told that under the new education policy that came last year, efforts were being made to conduct only one common entrance examination for the Central University, on which no decision has been taken at present. In the coming days, a decision will be taken on this in view of the situation of the epidemic.

On the other hand, the Jawaharlal Nehru University administration has made it clear that for admission to the undergraduate course, this year also there will be an entrance exam. In view of the Kovid epidemic, the university administration has kept the option of getting it done late.

But there is still an uncertainty in the minds of 12th class students and parents. There is restlessness and worry about many questions.

How will admissions be done in other universities in future ?

How will be the mark sheet this time?

Will I be able to submit my results before going abroad ?

Will the Delhi University cut-off remain the same this time as 99%?

To remove this dilemma in the minds of students and parents, BBC spoke to CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathi. Read the highlights of his interview:

What will the 12th mark sheet look like this time?

There will be no change in the mark sheet. Like last time, in all the subjects in which the exam was held, marks were given out of 100, so this time to everything will be visible. We are not doing any change without informing the students about the change. The mark sheet will be the same as before and its importance will be the same as before.

Will there be ‘objective criteria’ like 10th in 12th also?

CBSE has fixed the ‘Objective Criteria’ for the 10th board exam. Till now, according to tradition, there was a board examination and then there was a practice in some subject, the result was prepared by combining the two. This time there was no board exam. So CBSE prepared other options of giving numbers to prepare the result in case of no board. There is talk of preparing a committee, in which the principal of the school will be there and the teachers of other schools will also be members. The student’s results will be prepared by uploading them under a single system after looking at the student’s performance throughout the year like unit test, pre-board exam, mid-term all.

The ‘Objective Criteria’ for 12th has not been prepared at present. A committee has been formed for this. It may take another two weeks. In the subjects in which there are practicals, 30 marks are received from the school anyway, in the subjects which are not practical, 20 marks are received from the school itself, we already have this data. The remaining 70-80% marks will be based on the internal and practical examinations conducted throughout the year. We assure that it will be completely just for the children..

Will there be a topper list this time in 10th and 12th?

CBSE did not announce the name of the topper even last time. The logic behind this is that thousands of children can get the same number. CBSE has taken this step to stop the race of numbers in the field of education. Through the media, society, and schools, it comes to the fore that which student of which school got how many marks. On the basis of that, a comparative study is done to name the school topper, district topper, national-level topper. It is liked by both the children and the parents. CBSE did not release the topper’s list last time also and will not do it this time also.

Will this time also the number of children who got 99 percentile will be same as last time?

If you prepare the result by combining the pre-board, mid-term, unit test, internal, practical of the students, then there will be some students who will get 100% marks. A lot of students can get full marks in these exams. This happens in pre-board also. Some students get full marks in one subject, some in two subjects, some in three. The result will depend on how the scores of the children match and come to us. We cannot say at all that there will be no child who will not get 99 percent marks. Those who get 100 percent marks, then they will get only 100 percent marks.

Till last year, there were a lot of students getting 99 percent marks, due to which the cut-off in Delhi University used to go very high. Will it happen this time also?

There are 15-20 lakh students of class 12th in India. They can get numbers from 1 to 100 percent. When 15-20 lakh students will study for 1-100 percent marks, then surely there will be a lot of students at one rank. There will be several thousand students who get 95, 98, 99 percent marks. This is a scientific method, why ignore it? This is not wrong either.

There is a lot of restlessness among both the students and the parents regarding admission in the college. Some students have to pursue further studies abroad. In some courses, admission was done on the basis of 12th result and entrance test. All is well, is CBSE taking any step in this direction?

The good thing is that we have enough time to declare the 12th result. The decision to cancel the examinations has been taken on time. We have two full months. Most of the universities, whether in India or abroad, start the admission process in the second week of August. CBSE assures the students that the results of the students will be declared as soon as possible. Wherever the students are required to show the number at the time of admission, they will have the mark sheet in their hands before that. Admission in higher education will not stop because of the result. Children and parents need not worry about this.

Not only CBSE is in touch with UGC, other universities like Delhi University and other higher educational institutions. Without the result, the admission process cannot even start there. We did this last year as well. Even CBSE had sent the re-evaluation numbers to the universities as per the need.
