For the first time in history, HC will register against the current judge, CJI granted permission to CBI

Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi has given permission to the Allahabad High Court’s seating judge SN Shukla to file a case under Prevention of Corruption Act. The Chief Justice has taken this decision after getting evidence of the involvement of judge SN Shukla in the medical admission scam. Earlier, the Chief Justice had written a letter to the Prime Minister and in this case asked to take action in Parliament. Justice Shukla is alleged to have favored private medical colleges allegedly for admission in the MBBS course.

CJI Mishra resigned from him 30 years ago on July 25, 1991 in the Veeraswamy case, allowing any investigating agency to register an FIR to start the investigation without showing the evidence against any judge working in the Supreme Court or the High Court. Was not given. Explain that before 1991 any agency did not investigate in any case against any judge in the High Court in any case. Since then, this is the first time that permission has been given to register an FIR against an investigating agency sitting judge.

CBI will soon file a case against Justice Shukla. There is a possibility that Justice Shukla should be arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
