Virat Kohli scored a memorable century on day 4 of the Ahmedabad Test match against Australia. Virat's wife, Anushka Sharma, has revealed that the former India captain batted with sickness.

Kohli overcame his illness and finished his 28th Test century. In the day's final session, he was discharged for 186.

When Kohli hit a half-century against South Africa in 2022, he was still leading the Test squad. Kohli set his sights on the three-figure mark after surpassing the 50-run threshold.

After stepping out to bat on day 3 and ending his 14-month wait for a half-century, Kohli displayed no symptoms of illness.

Despite being one batter short, India amassed a massive total of 571 thanks to his performance, giving them a 91-run advantage. Due to a back problem, Shreyas Iyer did not start the game.

In the final 30 minutes, India wanted Australia to bat for a few overs, so Kohli had to play a spectacular shot or he would have missed out on completing his double-century. On the 179th over, Marnus Labuschagne caught him off Todd Murphy.

Day 4's final six over saw Australia resuming batting without losing a wicket. On the final delivery of the sixth over, India had a chance to get rid of Matthew Kuhnemann, but wicketkeeper KS Bharat lost a catch.
