joined the list of six countries to decide on the roadmap being prepared for peace in Afghanistan. For the past six months, India has been trying continuously for this.

This new mechanism has been suggested by the US, whereas India was not included in the list of these countries in the plan suggested by Russia.

Sources have told The Indian Express that Russia, China, America, Pakistan and Iran were asked to be placed on the negotiating table in the briefing suggested by Russia in the increasing close proximity between Russia and China.

An official told the newspaper that this was done at the behest of Pakistan, which does not want India to be part of the roadmap being prepared for peace in this area. But India had been working on this for a long time and for this, all India contacted all the important characters in Afghanistan and beyond so that it could become a part of this table of negotiation.

A high official said that “our interests should be safe, in the coming months the matter will move forward.”

Now being a part of this team, India hopes that it will play an important role in setting rules especially on terrorism, violence, women’s rights and democratic values.

India believes that it wants an Afghanistan-led, Afghanistan-controlled and Afghan-owned system, but the ground reality in Afghanistan has been something that has not happened here.

According to a report in Tolo News, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken sent a letter to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and the President of the High Council for National Reconciliation, Abdullah Abdullah last week proposing the formation of a regional conference under the protection of the United Nations. was given. Under this, the foreign ministers of America, India, Russia, China, Pakistan and Iran will work together to try to improve Afghanistan.

Sources say that part of this conversation on behalf of India, Foreign Minister S.K. May be Jaishankar.

A source told the newspaper that this is the fruit of India’s long-standing diplomacy. This was discussed during the visit of former Vice President of Afghanistan Abdul Rashid Dostam to India in September last year. Then there was a discussion with former Afghanistan CEO Abdullah-Abdullah and Afghan leader Ata Mohammed in October last year.

After this, in January this year, Indian NSA Ajit Doval’s secret Afghanistan visit was also part of this effort. Where he met the leaders of Kabul.

Sources say that New Delhi’s relationship with Iran and the development strategy to connect Chabahar port to Afghanistan was also an important reason behind it.

In the weeks leading up to his letter, Blinken has called for a meeting between senior Afghan leaders and the Taliban in Turkey to discuss a plan to reduce ’90 days of violence’.

Instructions to oil companies not to raise prices under assembly elections

Instructions-to-oil-companies-not-to-raise-prices-under-assembly-elections

Government-controlled oil companies (OMCs) will no longer raise oil prices. Due to this, people who are jailed due to increased prices of petrol and diesel will definitely get some relief. According to the Business Standard news, this step is being seen in connection with the Vidhan Sabha elections.

For more than a week, the government has been constantly on target of the opposition regarding the increased prices of petrol and diesel. The price of petrol and diesel has increased, as well as the increase in the price of cooking gas by 125 rupees has put the common people in a lot of trouble.

One of the main reasons for the increased prices of petrol and diesel to reach record levels is the tax on it. Business Standard has quoted government officials as saying that the government has informally told the right three companies not to increase the price for the time being.

Quoting a government official, the newspaper writes that some states have cut tax on the purchase of oil at their place but ordinary people will not get much benefit from it. For example, West Bengal has reduced the tax on petrol and diesel by one rupee per liter. Rajasthan has reduced the tax from 38% to 36% and in Assam, it has withdrawn the additional amount which was being collected as tax due to Corona virus. In Meghalaya, there has been only a slight bowl on the right side.

But the order of not increasing the oil prices can definitely increase the concern of the oil companies.

Can there be a power transfer in Uttarakhand

Vidhan Sabha elections are going to be held in Uttarakhand next year, but before the elections, there is internal discord in the BJP in Uttarakhand. As a result of this, the high command leaders of the state were summoned to Delhi.

There is also speculation about the change of the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. According to the news of Jansatta , the central leadership of the BJP can hand over the command of the state to someone else in place of the current Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. Today the party’s parliamentary meeting is to be held, after which the answers to all these speculations may be found.

Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat met party president JP Nadda late at night but he did not say what happened to his party president Nadda for forty minutes. However, other leaders of the party are rejecting any kind of internal deadlock.

Supreme Court will reconsider the decision of three decades old

The bench of the five judges of the Supreme Court will now consider whether the reservation of more than fifty percent of the jobs can be allowed or not.

According to the report of Hindustan Times , the Supreme Court, while hearing in the Maratha reservation case, said that she would hear arguments on this issue also whether the historical decision in the year 1992 in the Indira Sawhney case also needs to be reconsidered.

In 1992, the Supreme Court had set the maximum limit of caste-based reservation at 50 percent, while announcing the historic decision on the petition of advocate Indira Sawhney.

The next hearing of this case will be held on March 15, but the Supreme Court has said that in this case it is necessary to hear the sides of all the states.

Glacier-Accident

Rescue work is on and efforts are being made to evacuate the workers trapped in the tunnels after the flash floods in the Rishiganga Valley due to the glacier bursting in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.

According to officials, 7 bodies have been recovered so far while 170 people are missing.

ITBP spokesperson Vivek Kumar Pandey told news agency ANI, “We have stepped up the search operation for the second tunnel, there are reported about 30 people trapped. 300 ITBP jawans are busy clearing the tunnel so that people Can be evacuated. According to the local administration, 170 people are missing in this disaster. ”

The spokesman said that due to a lot of debris around the tunnels, rescue operations could be started only with the help of machines. He hoped that people could be evacuated safely from inside the tunnel.

Teams of ITBP, NDRF, and SDRAF are engaged in rescue work.

In this tragedy, the Tapovan hydro-electric power dam, also known as the Rishiganga Project, has been completely destroyed.

How did the Glacier accident happen?

Around ten o’clock on Sunday morning, water suddenly rose in some rivers in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.

In fact, landslides occurred due to the breaking of a part of the Nanda Devi glacier, and the water level in the Dhauli Ganga, Rishi Ganga, and Alaknanda rivers rose, causing panic.

This damaged the two hydropower projects of NTPC – the Tapovan-Vishnugarh project and the Rishi Ganga project there.

The tunnels attached to these projects were flooded and workers were trapped there.

Many houses coming in the way of water were also washed away. There is a possibility of damage even in the low lying areas.

The administration immediately evacuated many villages and people were taken to safer areas.

Due to the rising water level, rescue work had to be stopped for some time last night.

Home Minister Amit Shah has said that “In this difficult time, the Modi government stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of Uttarakhand.” Teams of NDRF, ITBP, and SDRAF have reached there. The Air Force has also been put on alert.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a grant of Rs 2 lakh to his family members who died in the accident. In Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has also announced a relief amount of Rs 4-4 lakh to the families of the deceased.
