Police detained students sitting on dharna at police headquarters against Jamia firing
Police have detained students of Jamia Millia Islamia University, University of Delhi and JNU, who are protesting at the Police Headquarters against the firing on Thursday in Jamia area. The protesters were shouting slogans against the police at the ITO headquarters since last night. Students were blaming the police here for the firing in the Jamia area.

Here late-night Jamia Millia came to Islamia University Vice-Chancellor Najma Akhtar AIIMS Trauma Center to see the injured student Shadab Farrukh in the Jamia firing. The student injured in the firing is a student of Jamia. Here, protesters started barricading the ITO’s old Delhi Police Headquarters from the evening after the student was shot. Students were continuously protesting accusing the police of negligence. The number of students here had also increased considerably.
