Large Meteorite CH59 At A Distance Of 2,000 Feet, Likely To Hit Earth Today

New Delhi NASA’s meteorite trackers have revealed that on Thursday (December 26, 2019) a giant meteorite identified as CH59 will hit close to Earth. At a distance of about 2,000 feet, the meteorite CH59 is moving towards the Earth at a speed of 27,450mph and the space rock will be closest to our planet at 12.54 PM (IST). Meteorite CH59, during its closest approach, will orbit the Earth from a distance of about 0.04874 astronomical units (au). An astronomical unit is the distance of the Sun from our planet, or about 93 million miles (149.6 million km).
