China vows to counter US deployment of midrange arms in Asia

Fu Kang, director of the arms control department of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said that the end of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty will have a direct negative impact on global strategic stability as well as the security of Europe and Asia-Pacific.

China is particularly worried about the statement in which an American official announced plans for the development and testing of missile missiles in the Asia-Pacific region shortly.

China will not be silent and will be compelled to answer American missile deployment in this part of the world.

At the same time, he urged other countries, especially South Korea, Japan, and Australia, that they do not allow America to deploy missiles here.

US Defense Minister announced

Recently, US Defense Minister Mark Espar, who was on a tour of Australia, had said that in the Asia-Pacific region, we want to deploy medium-range killer missiles within a few months.

On his statement, Australia denied plans to deploy US missile on its land.

INF Treaty ended last week

The 1987 INF treaty between the US and Russia came to an end on Friday. Under the treaty, several medium-range missiles were banned.
